Phlebotomist II - Paris, TX

About the Role

As a Phlebotomist II, you will be responsible for collecting high-quality blood samples and ensuring accurate specimen preparation for laboratory testing. You will work directly with patients, helping to build trust while providing safe, efficient, and compassionate service.

Key Responsibilities

* Perform venipuncture and capillary collections, including pediatric and geriatric patients
* Accurately label, store, and document blood specimens
* Verify patient identity and maintain proper documentation
* Ensure all equipment is properly assembled and maintained
* Follow established protocols for clinical and forensic collections
* Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment
* Provide outstanding service and clear communication to patients and team members

Requirements

* High school diploma or equivalent - Required
* Minimum 3 years of phlebotomy experience - Required
* Experience with pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections - Required
* At least 2 years in a Patient Service Center - Preferred
* Phlebotomy certification - Preferred
* Medical assistant or paramedic training - Preferred
* Customer service or retail experience - Preferred
* Proficient in data entry and patient documentation - Required
* Strong interpersonal skills with a patient-focused approach

Job Details

* Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM; Friday, 8:00 AM-3:00 PM
* Pay Range: $18-$23/hr (Based on experience)
* Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire
