Job Summary:

Decontamination is a vital part of a Sterile Processing Technician's role.

You will clean, disinfect, and process supplies, instruments, and equipment throughout ProMedica facilities. This includes conducting biological and chemical monitoring according to quality assurance standards, recording data and maintaining logs.

In this role, you ensure inventory control, proper labeling, and inspection of supplies, including linen and packages. You will also update instrument tray cards based on surgeon preferences and procedure requirements.

REQUIREMENTS

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Requires on the job training to learn technical procedures and to become familiar with a broad range of medical surgical items. Must be able to input and retrieve information from computer.
