Job Description



AECOM  is seeking an Urban Planner based in the Orange, CA office.

The Federal Planner 1 role is an entry-level position in the field of planning, with a focus on federal projects, primarily for military installations. This position is part of a team that works on planning and development initiatives for federal agencies or projects funded by federal programs. Below are the key aspects of this role:

Planning Support

  • Assist in the preparation of planning documents, such as feasibility studies and master plans.
  • Conduct research and data analysis to support federal projects
  • Support workshop facilitators with note-taking and logistics.
  • Utilize Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to create maps and analyze spatial data for federal projects 

Qualifications



Minimum Requirements:

  • BA/BS in Urban Planning, Landscape Architecture + None or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
  • Due to the nature of the work, U.S. Citizenship is required.

:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge and experience working with MS Office (Project), GIS (ArcUrban, ArcGis), Adobe Creative Cloud Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop);
  • High-level user GIS (e.g., ArcUrban, ArcGIS)
  • Intellectual curiosity and a diversity of interests inform your urban planning design perspective.
