Job Description

Openwork is currently engaged in a search to find an Innovative Container Design and Bottle Inspection Engineer in Smyrna, GA . In this Highly Technical, Detail-Oriented role, you will be responsible for conducting detailed bottle inspections, creating detailed 3D virtual models using advanced CAD software, and evaluating designs for feasibility and manufacturing requirements. In a Container Design and Bottle Inspection Engineer job you’ll be responsible for:

• Conducting destructive and non-destructive tests on sample containers, including compression, dimensional measurements, and preparing inspection reports.
• Creating detailed 3D models using PTC CREO and evaluating customer 3D data using SolidWorks .
• Evaluating designs for feasibility, estimating cavitation/cycle time, and managing project data (drawings, documents).
• Setting up and operating a 3D scanner to aid in CAD modeling and design evaluation.
• Checking the drawings and technical reports of colleagues to ensure accuracy and quality standards.

What you’ll need:

• Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering discipline (mechanical, industrial, product design, or related field) (Preferred).
• Working knowledge of Solid Modeling or Surface Modeling techniques using CAD software.
• Strong 2D and 3D geometric reasoning .
• Proficiency using Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
• Must be fluent in both written and spoken English.
